Welcome to GetGrowing Hunt Club!
Every spring, neighbours across Hunt Club come together around a simple idea — that growing your own food is something anyone can do, and that a little support goes a long way. Since 2020, we’ve been putting seedlings, seeds, and know-how into the hands of residents who want to grow fresh vegetables right in their own backyard. Over 1,200 kits have found their way into our community, and each year the garden keeps getting bigger.

Saturday May 16th, 2026

GetGrowing Seedling Giveaway (12:30–2:30 pm)
Hunt Club Riverside Park Community Centre

Join us for our 7th annual seedling giveaway! Please register in advance to reserve your kit. On event day, simply provide your name at our check-in table to pick up your GetGrowing Kit!

Unclaimed Kits: After 2:30pm, if any registrants have not claimed their kit, they will become available to walk-ups on a first-come, first-served basis until 3pm.

Ashgrove residents: If registered, a volunteer will deliver your kit directly to your door. You are still welcome to visit the community centre for Spring Festivities for kids. There will be joyous crafts and games to experience. (See below)

Children’s Spring Festival 🐝
🌺 12:30 – 2:30 pm

There’s lots of fun planned for kids! Join us for FREE crafts, games, and sensory activities such as; flower crown making, planting flowers, a bubble station, tissue paper butterflies, Eye Spy Spring, Pin the Bee on the Flower, a giant spring colouring page, flower toss, and decorating butterflies and ladybugs for a collective garden art project.

Most activities are designed for children aged 3–7 years old. Younger and older siblings are welcome to participate. Parents are asked to supervise their children at this event
