GetGrowing Seedling Giveaway (11 am – 1 pm)
Hunt Club Riverside South Community Centre
Please register in advance to reserve your kit. On event day, simply provide your name at our check-in table to pick up your GetGrowing Kit! Bring your own box or bag
Unclaimed Kits: After 1pm, if any registrants have not claimed their kit, they will become available to walk-ups on a first-come, first-served basis until 1:30pm.
Ashgrove residents: If registered, a volunteer will deliver your kit directly to your door. You are still welcome to visit the community centre for Spring Festivities for kids.
Children’s Spring Festival 🐝
There’s lots of fun planned for kids! Join us for FREE crafts, games, and sensory activities designed for children aged 3–7 years old. RSVP required—more info on the event page.
Accepting Non-Perishable Food Donations 🥫🫑
Brookfield Community Food Cupboard is a pantry located within Brookfield High School, serving both students and neighbours of Riverside Park, Hunt Club, and Heron Park. Preferred non-perishable items include: Pasta and sauce, rice (2 kg or less), cereal, crackers, cans of soup, vegetables, and fruit, canned meat, tuna, granola bars or snacks.
Local Groups & Organizations
Explore and connect with some amazing local groups when you come to pick-up your GetGrowing Kit. Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library, Ecology Ottawa, Brookfield Community Food Cupboard, Hunt Club Community Association.
